Tony award-winner Lea Salonga shared behind-the-scene footage of her recording a Christmas duet with singer and "American Idol" alumnus Clay Aiken.

The two recorded the song "Angels We Have Heard (Glory Be)," one of the tracks from Salonga's latest album "Sounding Joy."

In the video, Aiken said singing with Salonga was "a little bit crazy."

"My very first favorite musical ever was 'Miss Saigon.' My first Broadway show I ever saw was 'Miss Saigon,' I missed you, you just left I'm very disappointed. This is better, this is so much better. ... I knew Lea was before I ever met her. To be able to sing with her is a little bit crazy. I try to not be too fangirly about it. I've coming off pretty cool, I think. But it's all right there. And just like the idea when she, when we talked about singing in her album I've had to tell people that I grew up with that I was doing it because they all thought that's the coolest thing in the world, this full circle moment," Aiken said.

Salonga then recalled the time when she saw Aiken on "American Idol."

"At that audition for 'America Idol' when you walked in with the glasses and I think your hair was shocking red, you know it's like 'let's manage the expectation.' And then you opened your mouth, it was just so incredible. And it's always unbelievable everytime you would open your mouth, with every week I'm like 'this guy, he's gonna make it to the end," Salonga said.

The two also talked about the experience of doing duet together.

"Just being able to narrow down chords and harmonies and see how your voices sound together and it's just fun. It's nice, it's fun," Salonga said.

"It's nice to have someone else who's on stage with you or performing with you who loves what you love too," Aikken said.

Salonga's album "Sounding Joy" features new songs as well as her favorite Cristmas songs.

Salonga will be promoting the album via a holiday tour in North America this December.
