MANILA -- Kapamilya actor Daniel Padilla said he "found a new life," having spent some quality time with his family and friends recently.

Padilla sat down with ABS-CBN News' MJ Felipe for "On Cue" after he renewed a contract with ABS-CBN on February 12.

"I'm good, I found a new life. Parang I just came back to my roots. 'Yung mga pinaggagawa ko ngayon at 'yung mga gagawin ko pa is going back, reminding myself sino nga ba ulit ako, paano ako nagsimula, sino nga ba ulit ako. At unti-unti kong napupulot ulit -- oo nga pala 'yun nga pala ako. So ang sarap lang. ...Ngayon parang sabi ko nga kanina new perspective on life," Padilla said.

Asked of what he exactly meant by new life, Padilla replied: "Bagong pirma, new projects, gagawin natin 'yan. Pero beside sa show business, mas malaki ang buhay ko. Meeting people, ang dami ko lang natutunan sa kanila ngayon. At saka ang sarap din muna bumitaw, alam mo 'yon? Pero siyempre 'yung mga kailangan kong gawin dito sa industriya ay gagawin ko naman."
