MANILA — The second year of ABS-CBN’s primetime action series "FPJ’s Batang Quiapo" will open on Monday, February 19, with explosive action scenes and gripping plot twists as Coco Martin’s character Tanggol enters a new world outside prison.

Martin is aware of the viewers’ comments and reactions to the action drama’s recent plot twists, especially when Lovi Poe’s character Mokang left the series.

But he assured the viewers that they will still get to see those never-before-seen scenes.

Sabi ko nga sandali lang, ipapalabas pa rin namin 'yan, 'yang mga nakita nilang eksena, magugulat sila kung paano namin sila ipapalabas,” he said.

Martin promised Year 2 to be action-packed.

“The more na mahirap gawin, the more na tumatatak sa 'yo eh. The more na nahihirapan kami, the more na pinaghihirapan namin ang production o isang bagay na ginagawa namin, yung fulfillment talagang 'pag pinapanood na namin, paano natin nagawa yun?” he said.

As for competition, Martin said he’s no longer affected by ratings or viewership. His focus from the get-go is the quality of every scene.

Martin has nothing but gratefulness and appreciation to all the viewers who hves supported "Batang Quiapo" since its launch last year.

While people can’t help but compare this series to "FPJ’s: Ang Probinsyano," Martin admitted that he won’t be able to match the success of his previous project.
