MANILA -- A day before the big day, ABS-CBN News got the exclusive sneak peek of Rivermaya’s much awaited reunion concert stage.

Bamboo Mañalac, Rico Blanco, Mark Escueta and Nathan Azarcon were all pumped up during the rehearsals where they played "Awit ng Kabataan," "Himala," "Ulan" and "Bring me Down." The quartet were very keen in checking technicals, audio placements, blockings -- everything was carefully mastered and checked.

As for Bamboo, he said: “We’ve all been into this scene before. I think what makes this different is the four of us all onstage. That’s the truth. That’s what we’re all here for, that love, that energy.”

Connected to the main stage is a ramp that bridges to the satellite stage where the band is expected to perform closer to their fans.

As the day went on, we heard the band rehearse more songs such as "Hinahanap-hanap kita," "214," "Kung Ayaw Mo Huwag Mo," and more.

Eight big LED panels, four on each side, and a big IMAX screen are placed on the stage, and according to Jeremy Lechterman, creative director for the show, said the big video screens will be a visual treat for the fans.

He added: “Me and my team will bring some sort of artistic flair that I think what LiveNation and Rivermaya are looking for. And I think we have that sort of experience and sense of scale in the productions we have done in past.”

Lechterman is currently the creative director and production designer of FragmentNine, who has worked with big live events such as a BTS concert back in 2019, Usher’s residency in Las Vegas and many more.

According to the production team, mounting the whole stage took more than a week from the roofing, to the set-up of the LED walls, lights, lasers, smoke machines, even the pyrotechnic and visual effects that will also play an important role in the show.
