Fans of K-pop phenomenon BTS are in for a treat as member J-Hope is set to release a special album and documentary series in March, both inspired by his journey as a dancer.

In a statement, Prime Video said Monday the docu-series "Hope on the Street" would premiere on its platform on March 28.

The six-episode feature will see the 30-year-old artist, whose real name is Jung Ho-seok, return to his roots as a street dancer.

"Accompanied by his former instructor, the popping champion Boogaloo Kin, J-Hope explores the streets of Osaka, Seoul, Paris, New York, and Gwangju, meeting inspiring street dancers along the way," Prime said.

Prime said it would put out two episodes per week, every Thursday and Friday.

The docu-series will be accompanied by a special album slated for release on March 29, BTS' agency Big Hit Music said Sunday in a notice on fan community app WeVerse.

The album "Hope on the Street Vol.1" consists of six tracks, Big Hit added.

J-Hope previously talked about "Hope on the Street" in a 2023 guesting on "Suchwita," a web talk show hosted by his bandmate Suga.

"I traveled around the world and filmed with a lot of amazing dancers," he said of the docu-series.

J-Hope explained that the docu-series was made after he felt that fans were disappointed that he did not dance during the promotions for his solo music.

"It turns out that the fans were kind of bummed out because I didn't dance [during my solo promotions]. I think that's how they felt," he said on "Suchwita."

"So this [content] satisfies that need to see J-Hope dance," he said.

J-Hope is currently fulfilling his mandatory military service. He is expected to be discharged in October 2024.
