Safe to say na lumaki ako na kasama sila kasi we have the same handler... Ta&#x27;s nagkita kami nung kay Mr. M (Johnny Manahan) na lunch and then nakapag-usap. Of course I&#x27;m willing to work with Papa P. Who can say no to that?&quot; Bernardo said in an interview for the digital series &quot;On Cue.&quot;</p><p>&quot;I respect him so much as an actor but then nung nakilala ko siya bilang tao and feeling ko makaka-attest dito lahat ng nandito sa ABS-CBN na he&#x27;s so loved by many because of his personality. And &#x27;yan &#x27;yung isa sa mga traits na nai-inspire ako. I just wish that maybe the universe will do something about it.&quot;</p><p>Bernardo also thanked Santos for thinking of her to star if ever they do a remake of &quot;Ang T-Bird at Ako,&quot; adding that she&#x27;s also open to work with the multi-awarded actress.</p><p>&quot;Sobrang Vilmanian &#x27;yung mom ko. Napanood ko &#x27;yung &#x27;Anak&#x27; and I just respect her so much. Thank you so much po for that compliment po,&quot; she said.</p><div><strong>&#x27;Elena 1944&#x27; update</strong></div><p>Meanwhile, Bernardo said her film &quot;Elena 1944&quot; with director Olivia Lamasan will still push through, while some other project might be in works as well.</p><p>Announced by Star Cinema last year, &quot;Elena 1944&quot; is about a young Filipina who is taken from her village to a Japanese military camp to serve as a sex slave during World War II. She endures abuse but finds solace in a friendship with a Japanese soldier.</p><p>&quot;Since it&#x27;s a period movie, medyo kailangan ng time talaga especially with Inang (Lamasan). Hindi naman ako nagmamadali, it&#x27;s just there, so anuman &#x27;yung kailangang unahin before &#x27;Elena&#x27; that&#x27;s what I&#x27;m gonna do,&quot; Bernardo said of the war drama.</p><p>&quot;Maybe a series before or maybe a movie but &#x27;Elena&#x27; is just there I&#x27;ll just wait for Inang, whenever she&#x27;s ready. No pressure,&quot; she added.</p>
