The six-piece act's cover of "Fancy" is the final installment in the 10th anniversary celebration campaign of K-Pop ON! (온), Spotify's flagship K-pop playlist.

Under the campaign, three groups were asked to record their own versions of songs by fellow artists "who first fueled their love for K-pop."

STAYC's "Fancy" cover brings an R&B twist to the TWICE's 2019 electro-pop hit.

"We're really excited to be working with Spotify to bring SWITHs (our fans) our rendition of a song that we as a group hold dear," STAYC said in a joint statement.

"We've always loved and respected TWICE growing up, and 'Fancy' in particular has given us many shared fond memories from our days as trainees," the group said.

During their trainee days, the members of STAYC practiced using TWICE songs. Notably, some of TWICE's hit singles, including "Fancy," were co-written by Black Eyed Pilseung, the production duo behind STAYC.

"[The cover is] a peek into the soundtrack of our journey as K-pop artists and fans ourselves, and we hope SWITHs will enjoy our cover," STAYC added.

After debuting in late 2020, STAYC — made up of Sumin, Sieun, Isa, Seeun, Yoon and J — has become known for its brand of bright, bubblegum pop-leaning tracks called "teen fresh."

K-pop boy band ENHYPEN and duo Shownu X Hyungwon also took part in the Spotify campaign, covering BTS' "I Need U" and 2PM's "I Hate You," respectively.
