BTS member V. Photo: @BIGHIT_MUSIC/XBTS star V will put out a digital single on March 15, his label said late Sunday, becoming the latest release from the K-pop supergroup whose members are currently serving in the military.

The song "FRI(END)S" is a "love song in the pop, soul [and] R&B genre," Big Hit Music said in a notice on fan community app WeVerse.

All of BTS' seven members are currently fulfilling their mandatory military service, a requirement for all able-bodied South Korean men under the age of 30.

But the K-pop superstars have prepared content ahead of their enlistment, which are scheduled for release while they continue to serve.

V's bandmate J-Hope, who is expected to finish his service later this year, is also set drop a dance-focused docu-series and special album at the end of March.

Last month, V also appeared in the music video of singer IU's "Love Wins All," which was filmed ahead of his conscription.

BTS plans to reconvene as a septet by 2025.
