MANILA -- OPM veteran Kuh Ledesma is set to mark her birthday with a special concert billed as "3:16 Songs and Stories," which will be held on March 16 at 8 p.m. at Music Museum in Greenhills, San Juan.

The musical event is also Ledesma's way of expressing her gratitude for all the blessings she and her family has been receiving.

Aside from her hits, Ledesma hopes to inspire concertgoers through her personal testimony about the importance of 3:16 in her life.

"Birthday ko kasi 'yon, March 16, pero 3:16 sa Bible, 'For God so loved the world He gave His one and only son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but will have everlasting life.' So I love the fact that my birthday is 3:16,'" Ledesma told ABS-CBN News on Monday afternoon in an interview during a media conference at newly opened Italian restaurant La Virginia at Scout Rallos in Quezon City.

Part of the proceeds from the "3:16" concert aims to benefit The Holy Bible Giver Foundation Inc., a non-profit organization founded by Ledesma. The goal is to distribute copies of the Bible in depressed areas around the country and conduct healing conferences and inspirational concerts all over the Philippines.

"It gives away Bible sa mga preso, sa mga churches, outskirts and then we are planning to visit the schools and give away Bibles," Ledesma said.

Ledesma is set to perform familiar pop songs with inspiring messages that she hopes will not only be entertaining but will also impart a positive spiritual vibe with her audience.

Joining Ledesma in her concert are up-and-coming singer Nathan Randal with the special participation of screen veteran Tirso Cruz III, actress-director Gina Alajar and Ledesma's daughter Isabella.
