MANILA — Kapamilya stars Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin are slated to make their big screen debut with Regal Film’s romantic dramedy “My Future You.”

“First movie namin sa big screen. Kinakabahan kami. But knowing andito sina direk, kampante kami na nag-tulong, mag-aalaga at  gagabay. Grateful sa'min pinagkatiwala. Maraming artist, pero sa amin ang endgame. Grateful pero sobrang kinakabahan. Pero another blessing is magkasama kami,” Diaz said.

“Excited. I didn't see na makakarating ako sa kinakaupuan ko. I didn't see it. But I am really happy. As an actor, this is the dream. I won't forget this,” Fedelin chimed in.

Cast members, including director Crisanto B. Aquino, rated the “kilig factor” of the tandem with a perfect score of 10/10.

While the on-screen chemistry is palpable, the duo said they best describe their relationship as “friends” or “kakampi.”

They, however, clarified they see a future in each other.

“Hindi malabo. Hindi ko na elaborate mga pinag-uusapan namin. Pero may mga times nag-uusap kaminng dalawa lang samin na yun,” Fedelin said.

“Hindi malayo mangyare yun. Sa pagkakakilala ko kay Seth, siya mismo na tao, hindi mahirap magustuhan. Hindi namin prinaprioritize kasi may tamang panahon,” Diaz added.

Diaz and Fedelin also shared they lean on each other, especially during difficult times.

“I would say more than napapatahan, umiiyak, napipigilan niya iyon. Na-turn niya into laughter,” Diaz explained.

“Hindi siya nagsusumbong, nararamdaman ko yun,” Fedelin reasoned.

The plot of “My Future You” begins when a strange comet connects two timelines, 15 years apart making Karen (Diaz) and Lex (Fedelin) connected through a dating app.

As they discover that they live in different years they try to change the past to have a better future. But every change of the past leads to undesirable effects in the future.

According to the director, the plot will also touch on family issues.

“More than romance it will tackle family matters. 50 percent is kilig, while the other 50 percent is about family. That is what makes it different,” Aquino said.

FranSeth, along with other cast members, Christian Vasquez, Almira Muhlach, Pewee O'Hara, Bodjie Pascua, Mosang and Vance Larena, will begin shooting the film beginning May 7.
