MANILA — Kim Chiu was among the stars who attended the red carpet premiere of "Elevator", Paulo Avelino’s new film with Kylie Verzosa, at a mall in Quezon City, Tuesday.

Chiu, who arrived with “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?!” director Chad Vidanes and fellow cast member Phi Palmos, urged the public to watch the movie in theaters.

“Everyone is here from ‘What’s Wrong with secretary Kim?!’ direk, and even the staff, let’s go Paulo,” she said.

“Sana support natin Philippine cinema dahil bumabalik na after the pandemic. It is a good way to destress,” she added.

Chiu eagerly expressed her anticipation to witness another facet of Avelino's acting prowess.

“Pag si Paulo binibigyan ng role, ginagawa niya ng sobra,” she said.

Several fans of the KimPau love team attended the red carpet premier. Among those waiting to catch a glimpse of the stars were Lucy and her dog, Nox.

“He is also a fan! We came all the way from Colorado, USA,” Lucy enthused.

“Elevator” will begin screening in cinemas on April 24, Wednesday.
