MANILA — Actor Derrick Monasterio looked back on his ABS-CBN workshop days when he guested on "It's Showtime" on Tuesday.

The Kapuso star revealed that he attended workshops at ABS-CBN when he was 14 years old.

"Nakaka-miss din pala ang ABS-CBN hallways kasi nung bata ako, dito ako nagwo-workshop" he said.

For Monasterio, it was a dream come true to appear on the ABS-CBN noontime show.

"Grabe, parang panaginip kasi honestly dati pinapanood ko lang talaga 'yung 'Showtime' lalo na 'pag lumalabas sa Facebook. Favorite ko 'yung Tawag Ng Tanghalan, ang ganda," he said.

"It's Showtime" debuted on GMA's channel 7 last Saturday and trended on social media as it welcomed more Kapuso stars on the show as guests.

Before the partnership, "It's Showtime" has been airing on GMA-owned GTV (Good Television) since July 2023.

Now on its 14th year, “It’s Showtime” is hosted by Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, Kim Chiu, Ogie Alcasid, Karylle, Amy Perez, Teddy Corpuz, Jugs Jugueta, Ryan Bang, Ion Perez, Jackie Gonzaga, MC, Lassy, and Cianne Dominguez.

The program’s current segments include singing competition “Tawag ng Tanghalan Kids”, “Karaokids,” and the dating show “Expecially For You.”

"It's Showtime" now airs from Monday to Saturday, 11:30 a.m., on GMA, GTV, Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online, A2Z, and other Kapamilya platforms.
