<p>MANILA -- Veteran filmmaker Jose &quot;Joey&quot; Javier Reyes was appointed as the newest chairman and chief executive officer of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).</p><p>FDCP made the announcement in a social media post on Monday almost a month after veteran screen actor Tirso Cruz III resigned from the position due to personal reasons.</p><p>&quot;Director Jose Javier Reyes is officially appointed as the new chairman and CEO of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) on April 8, 2024. Chairman Reyes is the successor of former FDCP chair Tirso Cruz III.
