The countdown is officially on.

ABS-CBN’s Sunday musical-variety show "ASAP Natin 'To" will return to Southern California on Aug. 3 at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California.

"I'm pretty excited," said singer Bamboo Mañalac. "Anytime we do an out of the country trip with ASAP, things get pretty crazy. It’s the chaos, the circus of the whole thing, the energy, that’s what I appreciate."

The last time ASAP was in Los Angeles was in 2014 as part of TFC’s 20th anniversary.

This time around, "ASAP Natin ‘To" is celebrating 30 years of The Filipino Channel.

In those three decades, Southern California has become a popular destination for many of its celebrations.

"There’s so many times that we've been there but the reason why we go there to California is because there’s something about the audience," said veteran singer and TV personality Gary Valenciano. "It's the Kapamilyas in California. There seems to be a welcome that we bring a part of home to California and I cannot help but be excited."

Many of the artists who were part of the 2014 ASAP show at the Los Angeles Sports Arena continue to carry fond memories with them.

"Everytime we perform for them, we feel their love and warm welcome," said Erik Santos. "Everytime we’re there, we feel we can bring back the Philippines to them through our music no matter how many miles away."

Some 10 years ago, the line up featured a handful of up and coming Kapamilya artists who have since grown in the past decade.

"I got starstruck and surprised at how many people watched our show," Klarisse de Guzman recalled. "[There were] so many Pinoys and they’re welcoming."

Said actor-host Robi Domingo: "I think I have grown as a better host and I hope to tell the stories of the Filipinos here to Filipinos all over the world."

Domingo added that what they will bring to California is not just a show, but "a snippet of the Philippines which I’m sure the Filipino community especially TFC misses the most."

Whenever ASAP goes abroad, memories are also made off stage.

Stars will go on sight seeing tours and film special segments throughout the community, and meet up with Kapamilya fans in the days leading up to the mega event.

"I’m looking forward to seeing the hardworking Filipinos who have been missing home," said Philippine 'concert king' Martin Nievera. "That’s really our role, to reach them wherever they are."

It’s not too late for Kapamilyas to join the party.
