MANILA — Actress Kathryn Bernardo expressed her gratitude for receiving nominations as Best Actress in the 72nd Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) and the 47th Gawad Urian awards for her role in the film &quot;A Very Good Girl.&quot;“Oh my God! I&#x27;m super grateful. Actually, when I saw the nomination, it didn&#x27;t sink in until the producer messaged me. That&#x27;s a first for me, so I&#x27;m not expecting anything. I&#x27;m just really grateful. So win or lose, the other nominees also deserve it,” she said.The competition for Best Actress at FAMAS is fierce, with Bernardo contending against actresses such as Sharon Cuneta for &quot;Family of Two,&quot; Charlie Dizon for &quot;Third World Romance,&quot; Eugene Domingo for &quot;Becky &amp; Badette,&quot; Marian Rivera for &quot;Rewind,&quot; and Maricel Soriano for &quot;In His Mother&#x27;s Eyes.&quot;At the Gawad Urian awards, Bernardo faces competition from Gabby Padilla for &quot;Gitling,&quot; Max Eigenmann for &quot;Raging Grace,&quot; and Charlie Dizon for &quot;Third World Romance.&quot; In response to her nominations, Bernardo expressed her excitement, stating, &quot;Oh my god! Grabe im super super grateful actually nung nakita ko nomination hindi pa siya nag sink in sa akin until the producer messaged me then dun lang slowly nag sink in sakin and that’s a first for me so im not expecting anything actually kahit nomination lang hindi ko ineexpect so im just really grateful so win or lose deserve din ng other nominees yun”The 72nd FAMAS Awards Ceremony is set to be held on May 26 at the Fiesta Pavilion of Manila Hotel, while the 47th Gawad Urian Awards will take place on June 8 at De La Salle University.Meanwhile, Bernardo also expressed her gratitude for being chosen as the ambassador for a fitness and health brand, describing it as a dream come true. She shared, “Tonight is very, very special for me. As I said earlier, this was my first-ever walk for this very special brand, and I’m just so grateful to each and every one of you.”Talking about her fitness journey, Bernardo said she enjoys working out, something that she has been doing since she was 16.“Ever since I was 16, I started working out already. For me, it’s like my ‘me time.’ So, every time I have a free day or a late call time, I really enjoy working out. Maybe through the years, it just evolved in terms of the workouts I do. I’ve tried different workouts, and for this in particular, they hired a coach for me and got a nutritionist because my time to prepare is very limited,” she said.Bernardo also added she recently enjoys tennis for cardio, pilates for abs and functional training for her lower body.“I’ve also been open to what I think is called ‘functional’ training. Usually, I do tennis for cardio, pilates for abs, and functional training with a bit of lifting to gain some muscles, especially in my lower body. I enjoyed it. The lesson is to be open to any workout, and whatever works for you, you continue doing it,” she added.Bernardo also mentioned that she follows a daily calorie intake of around 1200, focusing on protein-rich foods. Despite being a self-proclaimed food lover, she expressed her dislike for strictly planned meals as it affects her mood when hungry.
