Gerald Anderson at practice for this weekend's Star Magic Games 

MANILA -- Kapamilya leading man Gerald Anderson gave an update on his upcoming action movie with his "On the Job" director Erik Matti. 

He mentioned that in between his Star Magic basketball training, he is undergoing fight training for the film. 

"Isa pa 'yun very exciting kasi nakikita ko vision ni Direk Erik Matti so we’re really excited to start,” he said. 

Meanwhile, Anderson was also asked about his relationship with girlfriend, actress Julia Barretto, and he hinted at a positive outlook for the couple's future.

Asked about any plans to elevate their relationship status this year, Anderson replied with optimism, saying, "This is a good year!" 

However, he quickly added, "It's a good year in general, let's see!" 

In response to inquiries about marriage plans, Anderson jokingly giggled and said, "Wala pa naman! Pinawisan ako sa tanong mo! Hindi, joke lang” 

Acknowledging their busy schedules, Anderson shared that both he and Barretto have been occupied with various projects.

“She’s very busy din, mas busy 'yun, which is good. She’s very busy sa work and madami din projects na dapat abangan sa kanya,” he said.
