MANILA — Kapamilya stars KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad beamed with pride for each other as they showcased their growth as performers during their sold-out "Add to Heart" concert in San Juan City, Friday.

“I'm so proud of Alexa. The way you handled yourself. The way you performed. Wala ka tulog, the way you managed to give the kind of energy is amazing,” Estrada said in an interview.

“I liked seeing him open up as a performer and getting comfortable on stage. I am sure KD will keep getting better,” Ilacad meanwhile enthused.

According to the pair, the concert was a dream come true.

“Surreal. I can't believe it happened,” Ilacad said.

“The response of the crowd, was a different feeling. It feels so good,” Estrada said.

The tandem made the crowd thrilled with their dynamic duets— from their original track “Misteryo” to cover of hit songs such as “We Found Love.”

“Eleven out of ten [the kilig rating]. Apart from my husband kinililig ako sa KDLex,” KDLex supporter Nes said,

“Theyre the perfect couple. They are good singers and actors. I love the atmosphere,” fan Mikki said.

Estrada and Ilacad also indulged their fans’ long standing clamor to perform a Disney song together with a medley of “Love is an Open Door” and “I See the Light,” where the former even jokingly proposed.

“Can I say something crazy? Will you marry me,” Estrada asked during the performance.

“Can I say something crazier, ask me again in a couple of years,” Ilacad replied.

The duo also delighted the crowd with solo performances.

Apart from serving vocals, Estrada also showed off his skill with the guitar in his rendition of “She will be Loved” and “Thinking Out Loud.”

He also performed the OPM hit song “Paano na Kaya” with Bugoy Drilon, one of Estrada’s musical influences and idols

“Great to work with. Walang ka-arte arte. One thing I really loved, they listen. And they do the job well,” Drilon praised.

“It is so heartwarming they still know my song. Thankful to KD, I didn’t know he loves my songs,” he added.

Drilon also teased the crowd with his upcoming single “Hilom,” which will be released in June 7.

OPM royalty Yeng Constantino meanwhile joined Ilacad on stage.

“Thank you ate Yeng for being an inspiration for me,” she said.

“I am very excited for what Alexa will do as a songwriter. Don’t be shy to release your songs. You won’t because you are good. Always remember, you are one of the most beautiful stars in the industry,” Constantino said.

Constantino also teased a single which will soon be released.

Meanwhile for her owned spotlight, with her solo performances. She rocked the stage with her version Avril Lavigne’s “Girlfriend” and left the crowd in awe with Taylor Swift’s “Enchanted.”

“I've been watching Alexa since Goin’ Bulilit, I am 100 percent proud. Super duper,” fan Aiza, who flew all the way from Bohol to see Ilacad perform live said.

“So proud of her, especially now that she has achieved so much,” Stella, who also came from Bohol, added.

Ilacad also surprised the audience with an unreleased track “Kung Naging Tayo.”

“It is for everyone who has a ‘the one that got away,’ those who ponder what would happen if they weren’t afraid, or if they got together,” Ilacad explained.

“It is my next single coming really soon,” she added.

According to Ilacad and Estrada, the concert is their gift to their fans, who made their dreams come true.

“This is giving back what they want and deserve,” Estrada said.

“We wanted it to be intimate and genuine. I hope they felt how much we love them,” Ilacad chimed in.
