Kyle Echarri just turned 21!

The Kapamilya actor celebrated his 21st birthday on Thursday, June 20, where his family, friends in and out of showbiz, gathered and partied with him.

ABS-CBN News was exclusively invited to Kyle’s debut and the “Pamilya Sagrado” lead star has nothing but gratitude for all the blessings that came his way.

“Actually, five hours ago I kinda forgot that it was my birthday parang ganun. 21 it’s been a ride, been a journey. But I’m so happy that everyone is here, people that I love.” said Kyle.

Kyle shared that he does not want any big celebrations, especially on his birthday. He’s half-hearted in throwing any party.

“Hindi talaga ako ma-celebrate na tao. Lalo na my birthday is kinda hard for me. It’s the same day that I found out that my sister had cancer two years ago. Other than that I never really wanted to celebrate my birthday. I was never a big celebrator. Pero pinaramdam sa akin ng mga kasama ko na kailangan kong i-celebrate ang birthday ko.”

Kyle's sister Bella passed away last year after being diagnosed with a brain tumor. But through time, Kyle has learned to embrace the love and support he’s receiving from friends and his family.

“Last year was one of the hardest years of my life. So this is a big 180 jump for me, and I am so happy.”

During the short program, his mom Marie turned emotional while thanking everyone who contributed to Kyle’s growth as a person. These include workmates, closest friends, and even Kyle’s sister who is now his angel.

“We love you very much and Bella is for sure so proud smiling, while watching over you. Saying ‘we love you Manong, we love you Kyle.’”
