MANILA — Hoping for a "bigger, louder, and prouder" show, the minds behind the queer dating show "Sparks Camp" promises to bring new learnings for their second season.

Reflecting on the show's debut season, director Theodore Boborol said they wanted to focus more on the reality aspect of the show and narrate the stories of the contestants.

With some tweaks in the format, producer Patrick Valencia is hopeful that they were able to flesh out fresh stories that members of the LGBT community could relate to.

Asked what he learned from the campers, Boborol shared what he saw from the campers who have mutual sparks: "You really have to fight for your love. ‘Yun ‘yung feeling end takeaway ko sa story ng nakakuha ng (mutual) spark."

"We are not just creating a show that’s meant for flirting, meant for romantic relationships but actually, hindi namin napapansin na we’re creating a community within ‘Sparks Camp’ because we created a family through this show," Aguinaldo said.
