Mark Demayo, ABS-CBN News/file</span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — Actress Bea Alonzo is raising doubts on the the timing and intent behind a labor complaint by Efren Torres Delos Reyes, her former driver, calling it &quot;highly suspect.&quot;</p><p>Radio host Cristy Fermin on Thursday read Delos Reyes&#x27; formal complaint about his night shift differential pay, overtime pay, holiday pay, 13th month pay as well as alleged illegal dismissal, maltreatment, harassment and lack of separation pay.</p><p>Alonzo issued the statement on Sunday through her lawyer Joey Garcia.</p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/2024/5/2/bea-alonzo-files-criminal-raps-against-showbiz-columnists-co-hosts-1739"><strong>Bea Alonzo files cyber libel raps against showbiz columnists, co-hosts</strong></a></div><p>The statement forward to ABS-CBN News reads: “The timing of Mr. Delos Reyes’ filing of the labor case is highly suspect.”</p><p>It added: “Since he was made a witness to one of the respondents among the criminal cases we filed not to mention him being a lover as admitted, then the intent behind said filing and the timeliness of such filing are too obvious not to be noticed.”</p><p>Alonzo&#x27;s legal team said that Delos Reye&#x27;s acknowledgement &quot;of being involved as a lover&quot; casts doubt on his objectiveness and his credibility. </p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/2024/6/24/dominic-roque-mum-about-ex-gf-bea-alonzo-s-statement-on-breakup-1623"><strong>Dominic Roque mum about ex-GF Bea Alonzo’s statement on breakup</strong></a></div><p>“For the record, Mr. Delos Reyes only served as service driver of the family and only for a short period of three months. He was not even assigned as Bea’s personal driver for her professional engagements. Thus, his claims seem farfetched, unreasonable, if not unrealistic.”</p><p>Alonzo&#x27;s legal team called the complaint &quot;a pure harassment case.&quot;</p>
