'ATIN 'to Lahat!': SB19's Pablo reminds fans of essence of their name

MANILA -- P-pop group SB19's leader Pablo reminded fans on Monday of the essence of their fandom name A’TIN which is to collectively promote Filipino talent and culture.

This came amid an online feud between SB19's fans and local volleyball supporters after volleyball star Sisi Rondina said she isn't familiar with the group during an Independence Day program in South Korea on Sunday.

Both SB19 and Rondina, as part of the the Philippine national women's volleyball team, were present at the event.

The clash between the two sides revolved around whether or not Rondina is required to recognize the OPM group.

A netizen then aggravated the situation by comparing the achievements of the band and the athlete.

In his tweet, Pablo told fans to accept the reality that not everyone knows their group or has a "favorable opinion" of them.

"There's no reason to spread hate, disrespect or drag down our fellow Filipinos," he said. "Lahat tayo may effort na i-angat ang Pinoy. Hindi kelangan ikumpara kung sino mas magaling o mas maraming nagawa."

He also narrated how SB19 started with a goal of uplifting Pinoy culture and talent to the global stage -- stressing that this has never changed.

"We know na hindi kami nag-iisa sa goal na ito dahil marami pang ibang Pinoy na nagsusumikap at nagsasakripisyo para sa layon na ito," he added.

"To A'TIN, salamat sa lahat ng suporta at pagmamahal na binibigay n'yo sa amin. Wala kami kung wala kayo. Sana lagi ninyo tatandaan kung bakit 'A'TIN' ang pangalan ng fandom natin. We share our victories! Sa ATIN lahat 'to!" SB19's leader emphasized.

The group's main vocalist Stell also called out the user, whose past tweets and username raised doubts on his/her claim to be an A'TIN.

The A'TIN fandom has already disowned the netizen and branded the user as a "troll."

Likewise, A'TIN extended their apology to Rondina, and promised to "carry the responsibility to be the best versions of themselves."

Rondina has yet to answer the fandom's messages, as well as Pablo's statement, after her apology during an Instagram Live session -- where she reiterated that she really isn't that knowledgeable with the OPM group.
