MANILA — Tensions rose between the Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia's characters in the latest trailer of "Un/happy For You," which was released Wednesday.

In the more than 2-minute clip, Juancho (Garcia) rekindled his connection with his former lover Zy (Barretto) after being in a relationship for 4 years.

Things went downhill when Zy revealed to Juancho that they can't get back together as she is already getting married. 


Joining Barretto and Garcia in the movie are Nonie Buencamino, Ketchup Eusebio, John Lapus, Kaila Estrada, Aljon Mendoza, Bong Gonzales, Ana Abad Santos, and Meann Espinosa.

Directed by Petersen Vargas and written by Kookai Labayen, Crystal San Miguel, and Jen Chuaunsu, "Un/happy For You" will hit theaters on August 14.

Garcia and Barretto first worked together for "Vince and Kath and James" in 2016, followed by "Love You to the Stars and Back" in 2017, "I Love You, Hater" in 2018 and "Block Z" in 2020.

They also worked together in the TV series "Ngayon at Kailanman" in 2018 and reunited for the music video of Moira dela Torre's "Paubaya" in 2021.
