MANILA  -- Despite false and malicious accusations about her, actress Barbie Imperial chose to stay calm, unbothered, and positive.

In an interview with the press on Thursday for her upcoming movie "How To Slay A Nepo Baby," Imperial said she's trying to focus and love herself as much as she can and stay away from negativity.

"Aivee Clinic, 'yun lang po," she laughingly said. "Madalas po ako mag-work out ngayon, mag-exercise, mag-tennis."

According to the actress, she chose to avoid social media and not read comments as much as she could -- which helped her have a positive outlook in life.

So for me, I think 'yung secret talaga maging positive ka and as long as alam mo sa sarili mo na ginagawang masama, parang let them talk, hayaan mo silang magsalita," she explained.

As she focused on herself more, the actress also wants to provide for her parents, especially her mom.

Aside from Imperial, "How To Slay A Nepo Baby" also stars Sue Ramirez. It premieres on July 31 under the direction of Rod Marmol.
