Kean Cipriano holds fundraiser for close friend 'Tolits' in Pasig

MANILA -- Singer-songwriter Kean Cipriano on Thursday hosted a fundraiser for his personal assistant and driver, Joselito Serrano, who is undergoing dialysis in Pasig City.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Cipriano said the fundraiser was important for “Tolits,” who has been with him for more than a decade already.

His driver has kidney disease, and is hoping the event would be able to help him with his financial needs.

“Gusto kong magpasalamat sa artists at mga taong pumunta ngayon para magpakita ng support. Malaking bagay 'yun para sa isang tao na nag-try mag-recover at magpalakas. Masaya ako dahil maraming sumuporta,” the singer-songwriter said.

He described Tolits as his true friend, and someone who is already part of his family.

“Pamilya na sa akin 'yun. Kasama ko for 13 years. Binata pa lang ako, kasama ko na 'yun,” he added.

Cipriano said those who attended the fundraiser included some of his closest friends, as well as fans and supporters who met Tolits.

“Yung ibang musikero din na may magandang relationship sa kanya... Nakakatuwa na andaming nagmamahal doon sa tao,” he said.

Singer-actress Glaiza de Castro, group Healy After Dark, Chen, and Kenaniah were among those who performed during the fundraiser.

Cipriano thanked everyone who went to the event.
