Sue Ramirez celebrates 'best Birthday' yet with 'Little Shop of Horrors'

<p>MANILA - Actress Sue Ramirez shared that she celebrated her &quot;best birthday&quot; yet on the stage of &quot;Little Shop of Horrors&quot; in Taguig City on Saturday, July 21.</p><p>Not only did she fulfill her dream of being part of a play, but Star Magic also surprised Ramirez after the musical’s curtain call.</p><p>“Yesterday it was my actual birthday. My whole family was there, my high school friends were there.  All the people I love. I did not expect they will bring up a cake and my family would be with me on stage. I never imagined mangyare ito sa buhay ko,” she said in an interview in Taguig City, Sunday evening.</p><p>“Habang buhay naka embed sa puso ko and buhay ko. Screen grab: Instagram/Star Magic</span></span></span></div><p>Ramirez, who had long aspired to step into the theater spotlight, made her stage debut as Audrey in &quot;Little Shop of Horrors.&quot;</p><p>“Since I was a little kid since I was singing in front of a mirror ‘Mamma Mia’ or ‘Phantom of the Opera.’ Always a dream of mine, I never thought it would be a dream that will come true,” she recalled.</p><p>While she is a seasoned actress, Ramirez admitted that shifting to theater was challenging and preparing for portrayal of the Audrey, which garnered a standing ovation, was arduous.</p><p>“I did voice lessons. It really helped. Ito revelation naabot ko lang notes noong preview night talaga. Na-iyak ako,” she revealed.</p><p>“I really had to double up the work… I really did not think I could do it. But God will give you kung ano ang dapat,” she added.</p><p>Ramirez also confessed “Little Shop of Horrors” allowed her to conquer her stage fright.</p><p>“It helped me get over it a bit. Palagi kumakabog dibdib ko.
