<p>MANILA -- Pop star royalty Sarah Geronimo marked her birthday on Thursday with concerns and prayers for the victims of typhoon Carina.</p><p>On Instagram, the singer-actress said she was thankful for the gift of life and for all those who made her life&#x27;s journey special.</p><p>While celebrating her special day, Geronimo also expressed her concern for <span id="isPasted" style="color:rgb(65, 65, 65);letter-spacing:normal;orphans:2;text-align:left;text-indent:0px;text-transform:none;widows:2;word-spacing:0px;-webkit-text-stroke-width:0px;white-space:normal;background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);text-decoration-thickness:initial;text-decoration-style:initial;text-decoration-color:initial;display:inline !important;float:none">typhoon</span> victims who are trying to recover. </p><p>&quot;Thankful for the gift of life and for everyone who has made my journey colorful and special. As I celebrate my birthday and blow out my candles, my heart also goes out to those affected by Typhoon Carina. Ipinagdarasal ko po lahat ng ating mga kababayang nasalanta ng bagyo at ngayon ay sinusubukang makabangon muli,&quot; Geronimo captioned her post.</p><p>She also honored rescuers who continue to risk their lives to make sure that everyone is safe, including pets. Geronimo described first responders as real superheroes.</p><p>&quot;Gusto ko rin magbigay-pugay sa ating mga matatapang na rescue teams na patuloy na nag-aalay ng kanilang buhay para siguraduhing ligtas ang lahat—pati na rin ang ating mga alagang hayop. Napakalaki ng respeto ko sa mga kababayan natin na di pinabayaan ang kanilang mga alagang hayop sa kabila ng peligro na dulot ng bagyo.
