MANILA — Singer-songwriter and actor Wilbert Ross revealed he was stranded in a gym during the recent massive floods in Metro Manila. 

According to Ross, he braved the floods out of fear that his car would be fully submerged in water.

“Pumunta ako ng gym. Hindi ko inexpect na grabe yung ulan. Umalis ako hindi pa gaano. Nabigla na lang ako, yung sasakyan ko malapit na yung baha pumunta sa loob. So kahit malakas ulan nagmadali ako lumabas at dinala ko sa area na medyo safe,” he recalled in an interview after the press conference if his latest project “Chasing in the Wild,” in Quezon City, Friday.

Ross explained he opted not to leave the gym due to the heavy downpour.

“I was stranded. Hindi kasi natin alam madadaanan natin baka malalim. Never ako naka-experience pa. Sa Davao never ko po naranasan,” he said.

“So takot na takot ako. Habang nag-woworkout, iniisip ko baka wala na ako mababalikan na sasakyan,” he added.

According to the “Makaluma” singer, the car holds sentimental value.

“First car ko pa naman iyon. 2022 lang binili,” he said.
