Chanyeol's agency, SM Entertainment, said the 31-year-old singer is in the final stages of preparing for his solo debut in August, Korean entertainment news portal Soompi reported on Saturday.

Although Chanyeol has previously released singles like "Good Enough" and "SSFW," his upcoming release will mark his official solo debut.

In a press conference for his brand-sponsored fan meeting in Manila last December, the singer born Park Chan-yeol said he wished to put out a solo album because he felt that "I haven't shown myself as a solo artist a lot."

Chanyeol debuted in 2012 as a member of the boy band EXO, known for songs such as "Growl," "Ko Ko Bop" and "Love Shot."
