Maris Racal is part of Rico Blanco's new 'Kisapmata'

MANILA -- Actress Maris Racal is part of the new version of Rico Blanco's "Kisapmata."

The new version of the song, which was hit for Blanco's band Rivermaya in 1996, was released on various music streaming platforms last July 19.

In the official visualizer released on Blanco's YouTube channel on Saturday, Blanco expressed gratitude to those who were part of the music and recording, including Racal. 

"Special Thanks: Mark Escueta (Guitar Amp) Maris Racal (Telecaster) Marco Bachini (Acoustic Guitar) Zild Benitez (12-string Guitar)," part of the video's description read.

"Kisapmata" is Blanco's second release from "an upcoming album containing solo artist versions of his most loved creations." "You'll Be Safe Here," his first single, was released in October 2023.

Recently, Blanco was a hot topic after Racal confirmed their split on July 12 during a press conference. Rico, 51,  Racal, 26, confirmed their relationship in May 2021,  after collaborating on a music single.
