MANILA  --- SB19 member Justin de Dios has released a new song titled "Kaibigan" in which he delves into the process of writing and producing the track. 

According to Justin, the song was written alongside another track, “Surreal,” in 2022.

“Kasabay kong nasulat 'yung 'Kaibigan' at 'yung 'Surreal'," he said. 

Justin expressed his gratitude to fellow SB19 member Pablo and the Radkidz for helping produce the song early this year.

“Tinulungan ako nila Pablo and 'yung Radkidz, sila yung gumawa nung 'Surreal', masasabi ko iba itong 'Kaibigan' sa 'Surreal' kasi 'Surreal' 'yung debut song ko. Very excited yung fans, very Justin yung 'Surreal.' This time naman 'yung 'Kaibigan' medyo iba siya and, natutuwa ako kasi 'yung gusto ko ma-push dun 'yung maka-relate mga tao," he explained. 

Justin also revealed the inspiration for his newly released single.

"Actually, para siyang story dun sa about loving someone, a friend na akala mo may gusto din sayo pero at the end hindi pala. So at the end mapapansin mo parang sa umpisa masaya siya, very lovely, pero in the end dun niya malalaman na ah hindi pala ako yung mahal niya as a friend lang," he said. 

Since its release, the music video for “Kaibigan” has already reached over 500,000 views on YouTube within two weeks.
