In her Instagram post on Wednesday, Mendiola expressed her happiness and gratefulness as she finally returned to showbiz as she signed a contract with ABS-CBN's Star Magic.

"Finally, after 5 years… I’m back home. I still can’t believe it, I’m back with my Star Magic and ABS-CBN family. I took a long break to heal and focus on my family. I’ve experienced many highs and lows in showbiz. Now, after a very long time… I can finally say that I’m ready to explore and continue my journey in this industry. Aaminin ko maraming hesitations and doubts, dahil alam kong bubuksan ko ulit yung buhay ko sa lahat. Marami mang iba’t ibang opinyon tungkol sakin, ayos lang dahil alam kong mas maraming nagmamahal sakin," Mendiola said.

She then said her "thank yous" to Star Magic and ABS-CBN bosses for the opportunity and trust. She also expressed her gratitude her family especially to her husband and daughter. The actress also shared her message to her fans.

"I’m grateful for this opportunity, maraming salamat po sa tiwala. To my family, especially my husband, thank you for being so supportive and for pushing me to chase my dreams again. You and @isabellarosemanzano are everything to me. Sa mga fans ko (kung meron man) maraming salamat dahil andyan parin kayo at patuloy na sumusuporta sa 'kin," she wrote.
