In the series, Shin-hye plays Kang Bit-na, a judge who faces widespread criticism for her seemingly lenient sentences. Unbeknownst to the public, however, Bit-na has been possessed by a demon, who seeks to drag 10 criminals to hell.

Things take a turn for Bit-na when she begins to develop feelings for a detective named Han Da-on, portrayed by Kim Jae-young.

"The Judge from Hell" marks Shin-hye's latest small-screen venture this year, following the romantic comedy series "Doctor Slump" that aired from January to March.

Meanwhile, Jae-young has starred in the rom-com "Love in Contract" with Park Min-young and Go Kyung-pyo, and revenge series "Reflection of You."
