'Maple Leaf Dreams' to hit theaters on Sept. 25

MANILA -- "Maple Leaf Dreams," the movie starring Kira Balinger and LA Santos, is set to hit cinemas nationwide on September 25.

This was confirmed as Star Magic uploaded a sneak peak of the film via a social media post.  

In the preview, Balinger's character was confronted by her mom (Snooky Serna) as she shared her plan to work and live in Canada.

It also shows show's how Balinger's father (Joey Marquez) supported her plan to go abroad for their family.

It was March last year when Balinger and Santos were introduced as the lead stars of the movie.

Based on the story conference, "Maple Leaf Dreams" is about a couple Molly and Macky who are fighting for their place in Canada for the sake of their families.

"Through this movie maipapakita po namin 'yung mga OFW. Ang trabaho po nila, 'yun lang ang nakikita ng mga tao. Pero with this movie, ipapapakita po namin 'yung struggles, what happens behind closed doors, 'yung talagang struggle from the bottom and how you work your way up," Balinger previously said.

Balinger and Santos worked together in the hit fantasy series "FPJ's Mars Ravelo's Darna." They were also both part of 2020 drama "Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin."
