He also performed his other hits like &quot;Beautiful Girl&quot; and &quot;Please Be Careful with My Heart.&quot;“The start of the Christmas season, I don&#x27;t know why they chose me to sing,” Chan jokes, triggering laughter from the crowd. Its Chief Marketing Officer Digs Dimagiba even recommended to the public to start their new year’s resolution in August instead of January.“We create a new tradition. Let&#x27;s make our financial resolutions in August before the biggest holiday season so that our financial resolutions can be actionable and realistic,’ said Dimagiba who added that the use of Christmas bonuses or money to be received this holidays should be planned as early as now.Meanwhile, Peaches Cuenco, Consumer Lending Group head of Metrobank, said they are confident more people will still take loans these coming months despite elevated inflation.This can be in the form of car loans, home loans, or using credit card for holiday purchases.<div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/2024/8/9/darren-espanto-rushed-to-hospital-due-to-appendicitis-1459" id="isPasted">Darren Espanto rushed to hospital due to appendicitis </a> </div>“People still need a home to live in. People still need to travel. But we have a lot of options,” Cuenco said, saying there are now several options like better installment fees and more affordable products.To entice more people to take out a loan or to shop amid inflation, the bank has launched several promotions. “We will be waiving up to P100,000 in fees. That covers registration fee, notarial fees, most of the initial cash outlay that will be involved when you get a new car or a new home,” Cuenco added.Metrobank’s consumer portfolio posted a 13.7% growth in the first half of the year and bank officials are optimistic of further growth this holiday season.
