MANILA -- Miss World Philippines 2024 Krishnah Gravidez has added another milestone to her growing list of achievements by signing a contract with Universal Records. 

Stepping into the music industry is a new chapter for Gravidez, who expressed excitement and gratitude for the opportunity.

“I feel very blessed that I am where I am right now. Some people may think time management is hard because I have to prepare for my international competition, but I really want to challenge myself more,” she said. 

Despite not having any formal vocal training, Gravidez is determined to embrace the new challenge. “I’m just starting, but I’m open to learning more,” she said.

When asked about her preferred music genre, Gravidez said she is comfortable with Bossa Nova, though she remains open to exploring other genres. 

“Nung nag meeting po kasi kami wala akong ka ide-idea sa mga genres and everything because hindi po talaga na-develop 'yung skills ko with my singing because sa banyo lang talaga ako kumakanta at home,” she admitted with a laugh. “But they said I fit into the Bossa Nova genre, so I’m looking forward to enhancing that,” said Gravidez.

As for dream collaborations, Gravidez didn't hesitate to name OPM star Moira Dela Torre as someone she would love to work with in the future.

While Gravidez embarks on her new singing career, she is also laser-focused on preparing for the upcoming Miss World competition in February. With the global pageant just around the corner, she’s dedicating time to fine-tune all aspects of her performance.

“I’m really working hard to strengthen my ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ project, which is the focal point of the competition,” she explained. 

Gravidez’s project focuses on supporting the youth and children, with an additional element of animal welfare as part of her advocacy.

Her preparation goes beyond advocacy. Gravidez is also refining her pasarela (runway walk), styling, and communication skills. 

“We will be on top of everything—pasarela, styling, communication skills—but for me, I see this as an opportunity to highlight my cause. My A-game will be bringing my sincerity and genuineness to the stage,” she added.
