<div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:900px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1725254077232Mantis_Cast.jpg" style="width:900px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">(From left to right) Park Gyu-young, Yim Si-wan and Jo Woo-jin. <em>Photo courtesy of Netflix</em></span></span></span>South Korean actor Yim Si-wan will lead the cast of a spin-off to the crime action film &quot;Kill Boksoon,&quot; Netflix said Monday.</div><p>The streaming giant confirmed the production of the film with the working title &quot;Mantis,&quot; which also stars Park Gyu-young and Jo Woo-jin.</p><p>The spin-off focuses on Han-ul (Si-wan), an ace assassin known as Mantis, who was mentioned in &quot;Kill Boksoon&quot; as having &quot;gone on a vacation.&quot; In the new film, he returns to the hired killer industry &quot;in search of new opportunities,&quot; Netflix said.</p><div><span dir="ltr" id="isPasted">Upon reentering the anarchic industry, Mantis crosses paths with Jae-yi (Gyu-young), his fellow trainee and rival, and Dok-go (Woo-jin), a retired legendary assassin.</span> </div><p>&quot;Kill Boksoon,&quot; which premiered on Netflix in 2023, stars Jeon Do-yeon as the titular character, a single mother who balances her role as a highly skilled assassin with her responsibilities at home.</p><p>Si-wan initially debuted as a member of the K-pop boy band ZE:A before venturing into acting.
