Will Rufa Mae Quinto be a regular judge of 'Kalokalike Face 4'?

MANILA — Comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto is back and is having a blast on mainstream television as a judge on "It’s Showtime" segment "Kalokalike." 

“Nae-enjoy ko kasi na-miss ko lahat comedians lahat, tapos lahat 'yan favorite ko, si Meme (Vice Ganda). Nung una palang na movie niya na ‘Apat Dapat’, ako dapat ang kasama niya tapos isang beses palang kami nag-meet sabi ko alam mo gusto kita. Wala pa siyang 'Showtime' nu'n tapos sabi ko tapos nag-date na kami agad. Lumabas kami,” she told ABS-CBN News in an interview.

On the first week of the segment's season, Quinto sits on the judges' table together with Jugs Jugueta, Teddy Corpuz, and TV actress Bianca Umali.

The first few episodes saw impersonators of two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, his girlfriend Chloe San Jose, P-pop group members Stell of SB19 and Maloi of BINI, Piolo Pascual, McCoy de Leon, NBA superstar Stephen Curry, among others.

She added that she feels comfortable working with the other hosts like Karylle, Ogie Alcasid, Teddy Corpuz and Vhong Navarro.

But best of all, she is amazed with the closest resemblance of the contestants to their idols.

“Natutuwa ako lalo na 'yung unang-una kasi hindi ko ine-expect parang kung baga dati nung unang ‘Kalokalike’. Ten years ago, meron akong nagpe-perform na ‘Kalokalike’ pero hindi ako judge. So, hindi ko nakita parang ganon. So ngayon, nakikita ko sila natutuwa ako kasi una marunong sila mag-appreciate ng tao para magka-idolo sila, gayahin nila. At yung mga tao namang iniidolo nila mga mabubuting tao din na may karapatang idolohin at kalokalike,” she said.

Since she has only seen a few, she can already say that the segment has already been trending.

“'Yung BINI si Maloi. Nakakatuwa din sa SB19 si Stell kaya nga sabi ko bumalik uli pero si Pablo naman. Tapos lahat naman kahit si Stepping Curry kasi taga-Golden Gate din ako eh. San Francisco kaya kung baga I'm really a fan of Warriors,” she said.

Fans and viewers are wondering if she will be a regular judge of the segment? Quinto replied, "I regular myself. Sa ngayon kasi 'yung show kaka-launch pa lang niya so hindi ko alam kung regular din ang 'Kalokalike' pero sa ngayon I regular myself everyday and I approve myself. Pero s'yempre hindi ko pa alam dahil hindi ko alam kung hanggang kailan 'yung 'Kalokalike',” she said.

But she has nothing but gratefulness to all her fans and fans of the show.

“'Yun na nga eh natutuwa po ako maraming salamat sabi nga nila sana nga daw everyday Rufa Mae all the way come what may yeah! Kalokalike!"
