Arnel Pineda grateful at 57

<p>MANILA -- Arnel Pineda, the frontman of American rock band Journey, has turned a year older, as he turned 57.</p><p>On Instagram, Pineda uploaded a video of himself, expressing his gratitude to all those who remember him on his special day.</p><p>He also said thank you to his band Journey for being with him for the last 17 years. Pineda debuted as lead singer of Journey in December 2007.</p><p>&quot;I just want to take the time to thank you all for sending my way all of your birthday wishes, kind words, thoughtful words, wonderful ones, amazing ones. You are just too kind. Sometimes I have to say that I don&#x27;t deserve some of these words but then you send it my way. So, to all of you to the fans of the band thank you so much. And of course to all of my friends you  know who you are so thank  you so much. I love you guys, thank you for taking care of me,&quot; Pineda said in the video. </p><p>He has also has a message to those who still can&#x27;t accept him being the frontman of Journey, the band behind the hits &quot;Open Arms,&quot; Faithfully,&quot; and &quot;Don&#x27;t Stop Believin.&#x27;&quot;</p><p>&quot;Of course Journey, thank you for the last 17 years. And to the fans thank you for having me in your lives despite the fact that I am not him. It&#x27;s just hard to let go of someone as beautiful as Mr. Steve Perry, the one and only voice. I love him, to tell you honestly. So I have no ill-feelings to the people who still can not accept me being with the band. Anyway it&#x27;s okay. Just peace, peace and peace. Peace out there.
