On Monday, Columbia Records and OddAtelier, Jennie's own management company, announced a partnership to jointly oversee the 28-year-old singer and rapper's solo career.

Under the new partnership, Jennie will unveil a single in October, according to a press release.

Earlier this year, Jennie teamed up with Korean hip-hop star Zico for his single "Spot!".

In 2023, she collaborated with her "The Idol" co-stars The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp for "One of the Girls," which has been streamed more than a billion times on Spotify and was certified platinum in the United States by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Jennie made her debut in 2016 as a member of Blackpink, the first Korean group to headline the renowned Coachella music festival.

Last month, Blackpink's four members, who have recently been focused on their individual projects, reunited to celebrate the group's eighth anniversary. They marked the occasion with a fan-signing event and attended a "pink carpet" for their concert film in Seoul.
