Allen Dizon’s daughter Nella tries her luck in showbiz

<p>MANILA -- Being an artist runs in their family, beginning with the patriarch, Allen Dizon, whose acting power has reached a global audience through his award-winning films. Allen is now sharing the spotlight with his daughter, Nella Dizon, who is creating her own path in show business.</p><p>Growing up idolizing her father, Nella had a basic understanding of the entertainment world after seeing him on television. It piqued her curiosity in showbiz. But she understands that everything must be gained via hard work.</p><p>“One thing he always tells me is to always feel like you’re the character. Huwag mong iisipin that you’re playing a character. Imagine mo that you are the character. Dapat natural lang. Kahit anong roles, kaya niyang gawin,” she added, praising her father. </p><p>Nella then described what’s her father like behind closed doors. </p><p>“Si Daddy po, madali siyang mag-switch ng mood. Pero as a dad, very kind, very giving, and minsan, strict. Mostly I would open up kay Mommy kasi girl to girl. Pero may alam naman si Daddy sa mga nangyayari sa buhay ko,” she shared with ABS-CBN News.</p><p>The 22-year-old newbie actress is well aware of her father&#x27;s accomplishments in television and movies, as well as the numerous awards he has received. According to her, public pressure is always present, but she promises to bring something unique to the table.</p><p>“Lagi naman pong may pressure. I always remind myself na one day darating din ako sa success na ‘yun. I always feel na everyone has their eyes on me because Daddy is a well known actor. Pero he doesn’t pressure me naman. Baguhang actress pa rin ako so I don’t expect myself to be perfect but of course I try my best in everything that I do,” Nella said. </p><p>A proud moment, the young Dizon stars in Rhian Ramos and JC de Vera&#x27;s latest film &quot;Huwag Mo &#x27;Kong Iwan,&quot; directed by Joel Lamangan. </p><p>The newcomer described her experience filming the Lamangan movie, saying, “Parang ngayon lang po ako nakontento sa performance ko sa isang movie. I can’t expect myself na perfect agad sa roles. Sa movie na ito, para sa akin, parang medyo gumaan ang loob na I feel like I portrayed the role well. Marami ring nagsabi na I did well.”</p><p>“I’m really happy to be able to work with Direk Joel. Alam kong magiging maganda ‘yung film. I know na magaling siya sa job niya. He’s professional and alam niya kung paano magiging maganda ‘yung daloy ng pelikula. Nung una niya akong sinigawan, wala naman talaga sa akin kasi I know naman na dapat huwag personalin,” she added.</p><p>Nella maintains hope in her heart as she pursues her dream of being an award-winning artist like her father. She is optimistic about her future, knowing that she will succeed thanks to her ability and story, which she is eager to share with the public.</p><p>“I want to continue acting po. It’s one of my dreams talaga na gumanap sa maraming movies. Pero siyempre I have to finish school,” she stated.</p><p>“Nagkaroon na lang po ako ng self-confidence nung high school. When I was in grade school, madalas akong nabu-bully. Lagi akong sinasabing pangit. Wala akong ginawa kasi mahiyain po akong bata,” the young actress shared. </p><p>“Na-realize ko na hindi naman ako pangit.
