Michelle Yeoh shares her struggles on not having children

<p>Award-winning actress Michelle Yeoh opened up about her infertility struggles in an interview with BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour which was released earlier this week. When I was married the first time, that was very clear in our path that this was a marriage about having children,” she said</p><div><br/></div><p>Despite this, she maintained it was the best decision for the both of them as she couldn’t see herself “a family that he craves” several decades later. Dickson later remarried and had children in his next marriage with his eldest child being the godson of Michelle. </p><div><br/></div><p>“Yes, we love each other now, but in 10 years or 20 years, I still can&#x27;t give him the family that he craves, and you have to be fair,” she shared.</p><div><br/></div><p>The Oscar Best Actress awardee admitted that it took her a long time to deal with the fact that she couldn’t bear children but came to a conclusion that she had to stop blaming herself for the outcome she didn’t want.</p><div><br/></div><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/2023/7/30/michelle-yeoh-ties-the-knot-with-fianc-jean-todt-after-19-year-engagement-1150" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>READ: Michelle Yeoh ties the knot with fiancé Jean Todt after 19-year engagement</strong></a></div><div><br/></div><p>“I think the worst moment to go through is every month you feel like such a failure… and then you go, why? And I think at some point you stop blaming yourself. I go, there are certain things in your body that doesn&#x27;t function in a certain way. That&#x27;s how it is,” she added. </p><div><br/></div><p>Michelle, at 62 years old, revealed that she still has thoughts of having a baby every now and then but she is still grateful for her grandchild courtesy of her stepson.</p><div><br/></div><p>“I&#x27;m 62. Of course I&#x27;m not going to have a baby right now, but the thing is we just had a grandchild. Then you feel you&#x27;re still very, very blessed because you do have a baby in your life,” she expressed.</p><div><br/></div><p>It was just last year when Michelle tied the knot to her longtime partner, Jean Todt, after being engaged for 19 years. </p><div><br/></div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div>
