Dionne Monsanto opens up about miscarriage

<p>Former &quot;Pinoy Big Brother&quot; housemate Dionne Monsanto, who recently turned 39, opened up about the &quot;immense pain&quot; of having gone through a miscarriage.</p><p>In her birthday post last week, Monsanto revealed that she and her husband Ryan Stalder found out about their second pregnancy last July.</p><p>However, during a prenatal checkup the couple found out that their baby no longer had a heartbeat.</p><p>&quot;Not everyone can fully understand the immense pain a miscarriage brings. For countless nights, I cried myself to sleep. Only to wake up in the middle of the night to continue crying. The toll a failed pregnancy takes on you emotionally, mentally, and physically is crippling,&quot; Monsanto shared.</p><p>&quot;No one tells you of the courage you muster to wake up in the morning to pick up the pieces of yourself that shattered the night before, and the many nights before that. No one fully knows of the strength you manage to gather to have some hint of hope so you can keep your sanity, so you can continue to show up for your family, and yourself,&quot; she added.</p><p>In her post, Monsanto expressed her gratitude to all those who respected her pain. She also said thank you to her husband and their daughter.</p><p>&quot;Grateful for the few people who I can trust with and respect my pain. Grateful for having a husband that holds me in those restless nights as we process this loss. Grateful for my daughter, and her &#x27;I love yous&#x27;, simply just because,&quot; she said.</p><p>Monsanto shared her story in hope to inspire others who needed encouragement to keep on going despite the pain.</p><p>&quot;Today, I share this in hopes that it would reach someone who needs a nudge to keep going, despite the odds, despite the pain. Today, I celebrate me and my strength. And if you’re reading this, and have gone through and survived a painful experience, I celebrate your strength too.
