Dolly de Leon reveals the most ‘rock-and-roll’ thing she has done

<p>Award-winning actress Dolly de Leon graced the grand launch of <em>Rolling Stone Philippines </em>on Thursday, December 12, at the Peninsula Manila in Makati City. </p><p>Expressing her thoughts on the iconic magazine’s arrival in the country, Dolly said, “I think it’s about time that we have <em>Rolling Stone Philippines.</em> It’s cool. It’s one of the coolest magazines ever, because it doesn’t only, you know, touch on music. It touches culture, and any society needs culture.” </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/events/2024/12/13/rolling-stone-philippines-is-officially-live-1123" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong><u>READ: Rolling Stone Philippines is officially live!</u></strong></a><strong><u></u><u></u></strong></div><p>When asked about her reaction to seeing Rolling Stone celebrate Filipino artists and culture, Dolly shared, “It’s an honor to have them here. I’ve been talking to the people from Rolling Stone tonight, and they have a wonderful vision about how they want the magazine to look, and that’s really exciting.”</p><p>As the brand is geared towards culture and the arts, she said that she wants a go-to magazine, “where people who are looking for art and culture to just go there and find the answers.” </p><p>As to whether fans can expect to see her featured in the magazine, Dolly lightheartedly responded, “I don’t know. Maybe.”</p><p>The conversation then shifted to Rolling Stone’s rock-and-roll impression, to which Dolly said, “Yeah, that’s how it started, I think. But I think that it evolved into something bigger than that. She then revealed an amusing and rebellious memory. </p><p>“Nagswimming ako diyan sa Peninsula [Manila]. Sa fountain sa labas,” she said.  </p><p>Recalling the night, she continued, “Teenager ako ‘nun, galing kaming inuman. Sabi ko, ‘Uy, swimming pool, tara, swim tayo.’ Kasama ko ‘yung friend ko ‘nun, adventurous din. Tumalon kami from the street.” </p><p>“Walang nakakita sa’min. Madaling araw na ‘nun, siguro mga 3 a.m. na. Walang nakakita. Pero kadiri ‘yung tubig, di ba, kung iisipin mo dumi-dumi ‘nun. ‘Yun na ‘yung pinaka-rock and roll na ginawa ko,” she added.  </p><p>The story came full circle as Dolly noted, “It’s funny because we’re here now in the Peninsula and dumaan ako sa harap ng fountain, naalala ko.” </p><div> </div><div> </div>
