Markki Stroem gears up for Mister Universe: ‘This has been a magical ride’

<p>Filipino singer and theater actor Markki Stroem is all set for the Finals night of Mister Universe 2024 this coming December 22 at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles, California. The singer-actor shared that this was the first time he’s ever been this close to the sign despite visiting the place on previous vacations.</p><p>“I have been to Los Angeles a couple of times, and this is the first time I have gotten this close! LaLaLand, the city of stars,” he wrote.</p><p>Markki expressed how excited he is to represent the country and the opportunity to meet several other candidates across the globe while making an impact for his chosen advocacy.</p><p>“This has been a magical ride, meeting people from all over the world and from different walks of life! 🙏🏻. Everyone was cheering for each other and very supportive! A great start to this journey! New found brothers from all over,” he added.</p><p>In a separate post, the Mister Universe Philippines 2024 candidate shared a glimpse of his preparations for the prestigious pageant. He revealed that he will be dressed by Filipino designers as he emphasized on having a Filipino-themed pageant for him.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/events/2024/12/2/why-markki-stroem-is-competing-in-mister-universe-1711"><strong>READ: Why Markki Stroem is competing in Mister Universe</strong></a></div><p>“I’ve been preparing for this for a while so I’m excited… This is going to be a Filipino-themed pageant for me and I’m so excited to represent… Gagawin ko lahat para makuha tong corona na &#x27;to,” he shared.</p><p>Markki expressed his gratitude to everyone who showed their support for him in his journey to becoming Mister Universe 2024.</p><p>“Thank you so much to all the Filos to support not just here but also in the PH and all over the world… I will carry this flag with pride,” he ended.</p><p>If hailed as the winner, Markki will also serve as an ambassador of goodwill in various international events and will engage in charitable activities. The prestigious male pageant  not only chooses a winner on physical attributes but also leadership qualities that could help make a difference globally. </p>
