<p><em>Squid Game</em> star Lee Jung-jae shared how his acting career started.</p><p>In an interview with <em>The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Falo</em><em>n</em>, Jung-jae shared that he started as a model before he became an actor.</p><p>&quot;Honestly, I was getting ready to work for an interior design company back then, and then I got a part-time job working at a cafe. And I was suggested a part-time modeling gig, and it turned out it paid a lot more than what the cafe paid me, so I thought I&#x27;d take it up. And that modeling gig led me to being cast an actor,&quot; he recounted.</p><p>The Korean star remarked that he did not anticipate that it would pave the way for a long career for him as an actor.</p><p>&quot;I thought I&#x27;d save just a little more and quit. I didn&#x27;t know that would be the beginning to this long of a career. Never knew that I&#x27;d be in something like <em>Squid Game</em>. However, our story has gotten more diverse, deeper with a very clear theme. Even now just by thinking about it, my heart is about to burst, it&#x27;s hard to put into words. It was truly an amazing night. It was unimaginable,&quot; he highlighted.</p>
