Jessy Mendiola shares showbiz comeback plans: ‘Tuloy-tuloy pa rin ako’

<p>After a five-year hiatus, Jessy Mendiola excitedly shared that she will finally make her small screen comeback this year. She revealed that she will soon reunite with Gerald Anderson, whom she first worked with on the ABS-CBN teleserye <em>Budoy</em> in 2011, in an upcoming series.</p><p>Wanting to put rumors to rest that she is quitting showbiz after her husband Luis Manzano announced his candidacy for public office last year, Jessy revealed her acting plans during the Manila Diamond Studio store opening in Las Piñas last January 18. </p><p>“Tuloy-tuloy pa rin ako. Actually kaka-meeting ko lang with Star Magic the other night. Meron pang inaayos na soap namin ni Gerald (Anderson), but before I do that soap with him, meron akong mga ibang show na papasukan. So abangan niyo na lang kung anong show ‘yun. And all at the same time, we are very nervous. Of course, bagong mundo ito para sa amin ni Luis and I know how hard it is.”</p><p>“I know how challenging it is, pero kilala niyo naman si Luis and he’s very generous and he’s very smart. He’s willing to give his heart to everyone,” she continued. “So para sa akin, ang feeling ko, talagang alam ko na kayang-kaya niya talagang mag-lead and take care of people. Actually, may two sides yan eh. May madumi, unfortunately meron talaga. Pero meron din namang lumalaban para maging maayos din ‘yun,” she explained. </p><p>Jessy has admitted previous apprehensions about the new career path of Luis, but maintains her support for her husband. </p><p>“So sana mabigyan talaga ng pagkakataon yung asawa ko kasi alam ko kung gaano siya talagang sure na sure na gusto niya talaga pagsilbihan ‘yung mga tao. Alam naman nating lahat na si Luis meron talagang potential to be a great public servant and sana mabigyan siya ng chance to show and prove that sa ating mga kababayan.”</p>
