Arnell Ignacio returns to concert stage; Liz Alindogan recalls working with FPJ, Dolphy

<p>MANILA -- Before hosting game and variety shows on television, Arnell Ignacio began his career by performing live on stage with his natural humor and very novelty voice. According to him, the stage is where he feels most confident, but he had to take a break from performing to serve the public.</p><p>During his showbiz days, Ignacio was active in front of a live audience, singing with a touch of comedy, such as in his shows with Ai Ai delas Alas. He released an album in 1998 and hopes to reimagine it.</p><p>Believing in perfect timing, Ignacio announced his return to the stage with a post-Valentine show titled &quot;Timeless: Music and Laughter.&quot; His fans would undoubtedly appreciate this concept, since they missed his fun era. The concert will also feature The Minstrels. </p><p>“Nung meeting namin, nag-iisip na ako kung ano ang kakantahin. Ang pangako ko lang, we will not disappoint,” he said. </p><p>Ignacio was also asked what he misses most about showbiz now that he spends his entire time dealing with OFWs.</p><p>“Na-miss ko ‘yung instant na appreciation nila (audience) sa ginagawa mo at ‘yung energy. Kapag tumungtong ka na sa stage, may parang gagapang sa ’yo sa adrenaline na will just tell you what to say or how to say it. Tapos nakikita mo ‘yung reaksyon ng mga tao. ‘Yan ang mga nakaka-miss,” he shared.</p><p>He went on to emphasize the relationship between celebrities and those behind the camera, saying, “‘Yung bonding kasi sa showbiz, ‘yun ang nagpapasarap sa trabaho. Nagbibigay sila ng saya. You always look forward. ‘Yung adrenaline na kapag ikaw na ang nagpe-perform. ‘Yung pressure na nararamdaman mo. ‘Yung kapag narinig mo na ‘yung binilangan ka ng director and then the surge of energy at magtra-transform ka. It requires a very unique amount of energy. Kailangang ma-deliver mo ‘yan. Nakakatuwa lang talaga na binigyan tayo ng talent ng Diyos.”</p><p>Ignacio, who has had a good career in show business as well as in public service, revealed which is more stressful.</p><p>He told ABS-CBN News, “Mas stressful sa politics. Sa showbiz, nakakasagot ako sa presscon na tumatawa. Hindi ko puwedeng gawin ‘yan sa trabaho ko. Everything should be verified. Photo by Josh Mercado.</p><div><br/></div><p>At the press conference held at Century Park Hotel in Manila, Liz Alindogan, the concert’s producer, was also present. To provide context for the younger generation, Alindogan was one of Fernando Poe Jr.&#x27;s most beloved and popular leading ladies, as well as one of Dolphy&#x27;s original babies.</p><p>When asked about Alindogan&#x27;s memorable experiences with FPJ, she responded, “Nami-miss ko sa kanya ‘yung magandang treatment niya sa akin at sa lahat. Kapag dating mo, uupo ka sa tabi niya. ‘Yung food na ibibigay sa ’yo. Ipapahatid ka sa Mercedes Benz niya. Wala naman akong kotse nun. Marami siyang ginawa.”</p><p>Alindogan also revealed that she had recently reconnected with some of the FPJ&#x27;s trusted production people.</p><p>“Mga 200 people. Tinawagan ko ‘yung driver niya na until now andito pa. Tinawagan ko ‘yung clapper. Dumating ang production sa FPJ Studio. Naiyak-iyak sila. ‘Yung goons na mga kasama ni FPJ, pinagsama-sama ko silang lahat. Nagbigay tayo ng konting… (assistance). First time na lang ulit nilang makabalik sa FPJ Studio,” she shared.</p><p>On the other side, Alindogan said the King of Comedy was more quiet, and all she could say was that he was very compassionate and generous. </p><p>“Mas quiet siya. Parati siyang nagtuturo sa amin ng good manners. Kapag kumakain kami sa labas, malaki mag-tip si Tito Dolphy. Very caring siya sa mga tao. ‘Yung timing niya, hindi matatawaran,” she mentioned.</p><p>Alindogan said she will concentrate on producing concerts and movies through Saranggola Films. She has produced concerts for Jose Mari Chan, Nyoy Volante, and numerous more.</p><p>“Nag-produce ako ng concerts before nung nag-retire ako sa movie industry. I produced almost 12 concerts. Nag-stop ako for a while kasi nag-concentrate ako sa business ng asawa ko. Nakapag-asawa ako ng isang businessman. Nagwo-work siya before sa government. Mga 2017 and 2018 ‘yung last ko na ni-produce. Silent worker ako,” she told the press.</p><p>Ignacio and Alindogan&#x27;s bond has been unshakeable since they met.
