Bruises on Gina Lima’s thighs not related to cause of death, QCPD Forensic Unit says

<p>The bruises found on the thighs of actress and model Gina Lima were not the cause of death according to the Quezon City Police District Forensic Unit. Autopsy finding: Presence of non-fatal external injuries; Presence of heart congestion, congested and edematous lungs,” the report stated.</p><p>Several specimens such as stomach content, blood, urine, vaginal swabs, and organ cut section were collected from Gina’s body to investigate further on her cause of death. </p><p>Pending toxicology and histopathology results, the exact cause of death has yet to be determined as of this writing. </p><div><br/></div><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/celebrities/2025/11/19/ex-boyfriend-of-gina-lima-found-dead-in-his-home-1104"><strong>READ: Ex-boyfriend of Gina Lima found dead in his home</strong></a></div><div><br/></div><p>It was earlier reported that the autopsy was conducted to rule out any possibility of foul play. Some netizens have started calling out for justice as they believe there was foul play involved and have shared their thoughts and opinions about the death on social media.</p><p>“initial cursory examination natin sa mga investigator, so far wala pong nakitang strangulation o mga pasa na dahilan sa pagkamatay ng biktima. I-open natin [sa autopsy] kapag may doubt tayo kung may foul play o natural cause, para malaman talaga kung ano talaga ang cause ng ikinamatay ng isang biktima,” Edison Ouano, chief, QCPD-CIDU previously stated. </p><p>Meanwhile, Gina’s ex-boyfriend has also passed away days after her death. According to the reports, he was rushed to the hospital but was unable to be revived by the doctors. </p><p>More details of his death have yet to be released to the public as of this writing.</p>
