G-Dragon donates ₱79.8 million to Hong Kong fire victims, dedicates MAMA Awards speech to the tragedy

<p>Singer G-Dragon has extended support to Hong Kong following the devastating fire that swept through the Wong Fuk Court apartment complex in Tai Po, committing a major donation to aid the ongoing recovery efforts.</p><p>The K-pop star pledged 2 billion Korean won (around ₱79.8 million) to the Support Fund for Wong Fuk Court in Tai Po, a government-established relief fund dedicated to disaster response. Dale De La Rey, AFP</em><strong> </strong></div><div><br/></div><p>Police said on November 30 that the death toll had climbed to 146, an increase from 128 the previous day, after the Disaster Victim Identification Unit expanded its search in the estate.</p><p>“As of 4:00 pm (0800 GMT), the latest death toll stands at 146. He concluded with gratitude to supporters: “I will work hard, knowing this is an award given by my fans.”</p><p>G-Dragon continues his worldwide <em>Ubermensch</em> tour, which will wrap up with final shows at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome from December 12 to 14. On April 12 and 19, he is set to perform along with his K-Pop boy group BIGBANG at the 2026 <em>Coachella</em>.  </p>
