Yam Concepcion recently shared how she planned the first birthday celebration of her son, Blitz, in New York.In her latest YouTube vlog, Yam relayed that she and her family opted for a simple, DIY-style party.&quot;In the beginning I honestly had no idea where to start or how to even plan a first birthday. So if you are in the same boat I hope this vlog gives you a few ideas especially if you are not getting an event planner,&quot; she shared.According to Yam, determining the budget was the first and most important step in the process. &quot;We kept it super simple. We figured out our budget first, made a guest list and then picked a venue based on that and once the space is booked I made the [e-invite] and everything fell into place,&quot; she said.For the giveaways, Yam enlisted the help of her mother and chose Filipino products. He has been taking over the night feeds so I&#x27;m actually getting more sleep. Our baby is also three months old now, oh my God time flies, and finally is sleeping. Longer stretches which makes a huge difference,&quot; she stated.As new parents, Yam emphasized the importance of talking and reading to their baby every day.&quot;One thing we make sure to do everyday is to talk and read to our baby. It&#x27;s one of the most important things you can do for their development. They might not understand words yet, but their brains are like sponges. They absorb everything around them. So talking and reading to your baby sets the foundation for their language skills, their social development, and their love for learning,&quot; she remarked.She further stressed how early communication builds language skills, social development, and a love for learning. &quot;Whether it&#x27;s a bedtime story or just chatting while changing their diaper, every word you share helps them grow,&quot; she highlighted.
